open image in Inkscape
import into Tinkercad
your pixel art is ready for 3D printing!
- use black and no animation
- resize image to 320x320 - make sure Maintain aspect ratio & Resize canvas content are checked.
- export as .PNG
open image in Inkscape
- Open Inkscape
- File -> Open (select embed)
- select Image
- select Path -> Trace Bitmap
- select Brightness cutoff, uncheck Smooth, check Stack Scans and Remove background
- move original image to the side & delete (the old image is the one with white border)
- select paint bucket and fill new image with black
- save as .SVG
import into Tinkercad
- Create an account or sign in.
- Choose File (find the .SVG file you just saved)
- If you want thicker - scale 1.5%, height 10mm
- If you want wider, scale 2%, height 5mm
- Import (you may still have to adjust scale & height)
- Select Design -> Download for 3D Printing
- Select .STL
