The Summer SPARK! program provides immersive, student-driven learning experiences for middle school students and high school students with computer science at the core. Please note that your child must apply and we will be accepting applications on a rolling basis based on interest and availability of program. No experience is required for Summer SPARK! and we encourage students with a wide variety of backgrounds, interests and experiences to apply.

* Thanks to our SPARK! Champion sponsors, Roomkey and WillowTree,  we are able to offer this programming at cost with scholarships available on a first come, first serve basis.
Summer SPARK! Student Testimonials
"We worked in a lot of different languages in these two weeks, and we got to explore a lot of different areas of computer science,' said Nia Robinson '22. "For the past few days, we decided what we liked and what we were going to work on to show here. I liked it because we got to explore what we wanted to and the teachers were really nice and really helpful."

Luke Roberts, a rising freshman at Charlottesville High School, also had a great Launchpad experience. "I started off the week not knowing any JavaScript and knowing barely any HTML and CSS, and by the end of the two weeks I built a fully functioning website," he said. "It was really cool and I really enjoyed it."
